The matchups are finally out. Here are the nine most intriguing matchups for NWLA's 2010 Tournament.

1. Red Sox (HRL) vs Monday Night 40's (KWL) : The Red Sox are HRL's champions and Monday Nights had an awful start but were are fire to finish off the regular season. Monday Night hot stretch got them first place in their division. red Sox were equally hot in the HRL playoffs. Great matchup!

2. Meerkats (WSWL) vs Scared Hitless (PWL): Both could argue that they should have higher seeds. Both couldn't win the big game in the playoffs despite having their league's best regular season records.

3. Phillies (HRL) vs Snowsuit (KWL): The fever of Snowsuit against one of HRL's better teams. Can Snowsuit fever prevail?

4. Eastside Expos (CCWA) vs Belly Itchers (KWL): Last year, these two teams were the best. People could argue either way which was the best team in 2009. Oddly enough, they face each other in the first round. There isn't two teams facing each other in the first round that have a better past history of excellence in their respective leagues.

5. Apaches (WCWBL) vs Hot Dogs (GDWL): : Apaches have been one of the better teams in WCWBL for awhile now. They face the Hot Dogs that ran away with the best record in the GDWL. Almost identical win loss records. A very interesting matchup.

6. Indians (HRL) vs Morenos (TLW) : Morenos, won the championship in one of NWLA's newest leagues. They are coming from the up and coming and popular TLW. They face what I predicted as the best team in the nation before the season started. Should be interesting

7. Superman's Wheelchair (PWL) vs Filippone Heat (NWBL) : Filippone Heat has become the team that NEEDED to win its league's championship or they wouldn't even had made the tournament. Because of this, you have to say this is one of the tournament's Cinderella teams. They face Superman's Wheelchair, which just would their league's championship today.

8. Dodgers (WATL) vs Angels (HFWB): : The Angels and Dodgers were both highly touted teams coming into the season. The Dodgers fulfilled their expectations while the Angels had a season that didn't go as planned. The Angels may very well be the best 16th seed team that we may ever see talent wise.

9. Pterodactyls (ORWBL) vs The Gentlemen (KWL): The Pterodactyls can brag that they have the most team wins coming in as well as an outstanding win loss record. However they came up short in the playoffs. This team may very well be one of the best teams in the tournament that didn't win their league's championship. they face The Gentlemen of KWL, who got in ahead of KWL's Scared Hitless.
