"Chief" was one of the founders and regulars at the old Douglas Drug Field. His .705 is the second best Winning % in the history of the Rocky Hill League. Eric was a patient hitter and got on base with some timely hitting but never showed any power in his only season. Pitching statistics weren't kept during Eric's lone season in 2000, which is unfortunate because he was one of the most dominant pitchers that year, if not the best. His pitching limited the opposing team to very little runs and many strikeouts. His limited amount of games played and no track of statistics cost Eric the 2000 Cy Agin award. This is unfortunate, because if he had more playing time, he would have a lot more awards.
