| After squeaking into the 2008 playoffs as the 6th (and lowest) seeded team, most of the league wrote off the Red Sox and their championship chances. Larios took the league by storm, dominating opposing line-ups in a way that had never been seen before. The Sox upset the 3rd seeded Diamondbacks and 2nd seeded Rays going into the Championship series against the 4th seeded Twins. Larios came through time and time again with clutch hits and aggressive base running, earning him the 2008 Playoff MVP award. Off the field Larios was one of the funniest kids in the league, and he regularly attended games even if his team wasn't playing. No one will ever forget Larios's performance in the inaugural playoffs. |
